Everything you expect from a real SSH client
Built for people who live in the terminal: fast, keyboard-first, and honest about what it does.
-
Real terminal
A fast xterm-compatible emulator: scrollback, tabs, copy/paste, color schemes, and it stays out of vim and tmux’s way.
-
SFTP file browser
Browse, upload, download, rename and delete over the same connection as your shell, with no second login.
-
Port forwarding
Local, remote and dynamic (SOCKS5) tunnels, managed per session. Reach anything behind the jump host.
-
Keys done right
Generate Ed25519/RSA keys on device. Secrets live in the OS keychain or keystore, never in a cloud.
-
Encrypted backups
One passphrase-encrypted file restores hosts, identities and snippets on any platform. Move devices in minutes.
-
Snippets & search
Saved commands one tap away, plus full-text search over your session output. Find that log line instantly.
Also included:
ProxyJump & jump-host chains · mosh support · biometric app lock ·
host-key verification with managed known_hosts ·
config import from OpenSSH, Termius and PuTTY.
Pay once. Private by design. Nothing phones home.
Most SSH clients rent you access and route your data through their servers. AquaSSH does neither.
No subscription
One purchase unlocks the app for good. No monthly fee, no seat count, no “your plan has changed” email.
No account, ever
There’s nothing to sign up for. We don’t have servers, so your hosts, keys and passwords stay on your device, in the OS keystore.
Nothing phones home
No telemetry by default. Crash reporting is strictly opt-in. What you do in your terminal is nobody’s business but yours.

Frequently asked questions
Why isn’t there a subscription?
Because an SSH client is a tool, not a service. You shouldn’t have to pay every month to keep a terminal working. Buy AquaSSH once and it’s yours, including the features you already unlocked.
Do I need to create an account?
No. There’s no sign-up and no login. We don’t operate servers, so there’s nowhere to hold an account, and the app works entirely on your device.
Which platforms are supported?
Android, Linux, Windows and macOS. Buy Pro once and your encrypted backup moves your hosts, identities and snippets between any of them.
Where do my keys and passwords live?
In your operating system’s keychain / keystore, on your device. AquaSSH never uploads your secrets, and backups are encrypted with a passphrase only you hold.
Is it really offline?
Yes. The only network connections AquaSSH makes are the SSH sessions you start. There’s no telemetry by default, and crash reporting is strictly opt-in.
